Galileo Games is proud to announce that in 2013 we will be releasing The Ministry RPG, a steampunk character-driven RPG of action and adventure. Based on the excellent book series, The Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences, this RPG will run on FATE Core.
What is the Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences?
The Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences is a series of Steampunk novels written by Tee Morris and Pip Ballantine. The Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences, a secret agency with its head office located at the heart of the Empire, London, is here to solve mysterious happenings that leave normal law enforcement officials baffled.
With offices all over the world, Agents of the Ministry are the best, the brightest and the bravest from all the dominions and outposts of civilization. They are here to protect every one of the citizens of the Empire from threats that would haunt their dreams…if they but knew.
The Ministry Team
The Ministry will be edited by Brennan Taylor, co-author of Bulldogs! and author of How We Came To Live Here. The Ministry will be designed by J.R. Blackwell and written by P.J. Schnyder with contributions from Tee Morris and Pip Ballantine.
The Ministry will be built on FATECore, a roleplaying system that emphases unique characters in its mechanics. FATE is an excellent system on which to deploy character-driven adventure, and we look forward to adapting special skills, stunts, and other mechanics to best suit the agents of The Ministry.
Players will take on the roles of Agents from the Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences, investigating crimes, secret societies, supernatural threats and outlandish villains. Though fans of the series will derive special enjoyment from the game and it’s many references, fans of adventure games, steampunk, Victorian culture and character-centered action will find the game easily accessible even if they’ve never read the books. We look forward to going on this adventure with you!
